Dr. G Nammalvar
A Scientist A Saint A Messiah of Organic Revolution
(6 April 1938 – 30 December 2013)
Dr. Nammalvar was born in a farmer’s family in Elangadu, Tanjavur Tamil Nadu on the 6th of April 1938 and was the youngest amongst his siblings. Dr Nammalvar, who is known as the ‘Father or Guru of Organic Farming’ in Tamil Nadu, chose to dedicate his life to the upliftment of farmers in the driest areas of the state.
Today he is not among us but the legacy he has left is precious for the entire Nation. It is time that we move towards Organic Farming and spare our Land, Water, Soil and Souls from contamination.
